Winston-Salem is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Winston-Salem follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. Lovely little chocolate shop featuring a small assortment of local artisan goods. Staff was exceptionally friendly and informative. Would love to come back to participate in a class. Chocolate is delicious. Working my way through an assortment of truffles, each one better than the last! And have 3 bars to try.

I can't believe I didn't know this place existed until just a couple weeks ago when I saw it on Yelp. I have a major sweet tooth, I probably bleed chocolate. So needless to say, this went up to the top of my queue. Finally, I visited last week around 11:15am just after they opened and had a great experience, and of course walked out with some delicious truffles. The owner was very friendly and talked to us about the variety of chocolates, where they're sourced, which ones he prefers etc. They sell some local artisan products/merch (soaps, cards, etc) as well. After much internal struggle (I wanted everything), I settled on an 8 count of truffles and got some citrusy, caramel, and alcohol-infused flavors. I really liked the strawberry champagne and tangerine truffles. I will definitely return to satiate my sweet tooth. This place also does private chocolatier classes (truffles, molds, bars etc) for groups of 2-10 people. They don't have a set schedule, you just call to set a time that works well for you. Definitely something else I would be interested in checking out.

This is a delicious stop that you are requiere to make. If you are a fan of the bon bons like I am. As soon as you walk in, you are going to be warmly welcome, (In our case, Caroline, she was so sweet and cordial with us), we had time to talk about the chocolates, and all the process they go through and the different types that they have. The place is very cozy, filled with Chocolates (Bon bons, bars) and also, there you can find some other items from local vendors they like to support. What did I had? The Bourbon Honey and the Raspberry Champagne bon bons, I also brought home one of their chocolate bars (delicious), and coffee barks. Honestly, Im so glad I got to check out this place. And if you have it on your list make sure you add them, you’re going to love them.

Award-winning dark chocolate made in-house right here in the Triad! I had a great experience with the friendly folks at Brasstown. As a Yelp Elite, I was entitled to 1 free bar, but had trouble picking one. So I ended up taking advantage of the 3 for $15. Usually, they're $7 a bar, so walking away with 4 was a real treat. I learned that they specialize in dark chocolate and make it all in-house right there! Additionally, they're big on supporting local, carrying products from other local businesses within their shop. I love that! So far, I've tried the peach + mango chocolate bar and was incredibly surprised by how tasty this fruit-infused dark chocolate bar tasted. I expected an obnoxious artificially infused taste of straight mango+peach, but was instead met with the delicious quality taste of what I expect will be award-winning dark chocolate with an infused hint of that fruity mango/peach taste. Very different from what I've experienced. Additionally, they offer chocolate-making classes and offered me a little wheel chart to help guide my tasting experience. I've never enjoyed chocolate like this before and walked away feeling like a chocolate connoisseur. If you're into da

If you are in the Winston-Salem area, don't miss Brasstown. Excellent dark chocolate bars, bonbons, baked treats, and other edibles. And the classes are a blast. Have done two now - ganache and bar making. Always fun, you get to take what you make - and usually some extras!
